INGREDIENTS

  • Big white bread – 12 slices[even small will do]
  • Beaten egg – 1
  • Bread crumbs – ½ cup
  • Oil for deep fry or shallow fry

METHOD

Take 2 slices of bread one on top of the other ,roll it with a rolling pin so that they join together.

With a help of cookie cutter or any circle mould cut the slices in disc .[circle as shown in pics ]

Take the joined bread together , dip it in the beaten egg and then coat it with bread crumbs.

Repeat the same with all slices.

Here if time permits you can refrigerate for sometime or fry it immediately.

Fry it till golden brown on both sides.[medium flame]

Let it cool .

Cut it from the centre and try to open the middle portion with the help of fingers.

Bread pockets are ready.

                                                                             FOR THE FILLING

INGREDIENTS

  • Boiled shredded chicken – 1 ½ cup
  • Butter – 1 ½ tbsp + ½ olive oil
  • Garlic – 2 cloves finely chopped or minced
  • Maida / all purpose flour – 2 tbsp
  • 1 cup of stock made from maggi veg or non veg cubes
  • Finely chopped coriander/parsely leaves – 2 tsp [optional]
  • Oregano – 1 tsp
  • Chilli flakes – 1tsp
  • Salt and pepper powder as per taste
  • Parmesan cheese or cheese cubes grated – 2 tbsp.

PREPARATION

Clean ¼ kg boneless chicken. Boil it with salt for 10 -12 mins. Once it cools shred it or finely chop it.

METHOD

Heat  a non-stick pan.

Add the butter + oil.

Add the garlic and fry. [don’t burn the garlic]

Add the flour and cook for 1 min by continously stirring on low flame.

Add the stock and cook.

Keep stirring and cook till sauce boils and thickens.

Add salt, pepper pwdr, chilli flakes and cheese.

Add the chicken and mix well till the pasta gets quoted well with the sauce.

                                                                                 ASSEMBLING

Take each bread pocket and fill it with a spoon of the chicken filling.

Repeat it with all the pockets.
