CHINESE MAGGI NOODLES

INGREDIENTS

  • Masala Maggi pkts – 2
  • Water to cook noodles – 3 cup
  • Oil /olive oil – 1 or 1 ½ tbsp
  • Finely chopped ginger + garlic – 1 tsp
  • Thinly sliced cabbage – 1 cup
  • Capsicum thinly sliced – ½ cup
  • Onion thinly sliced – ½ cup
  • Carrot – ½ cup
  • Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Tomato sauce – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Soya sauce – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped spring onion greens or coriander leaves for garnish.

PREPARATION

Boil 3 cup water , break and add the noodles and cook it till done.[don’t overcook it ]drain and keep aside.

METHOD

Heat oil in a broad pan.

Add ginger + garlic and saute for few seconds on high flame. [ Colour should not change ]

Add onion and fry for few seconds .

Add capsicum and saute for few seconds

Add carrot and saute for few seconds and finally add cabbage and saute. [we don’t have to cook the veges till soft  ,they should be crunchy ]

Add maggi masala + salt + pepper pwdr and stir fry for few seconds.

Add all the sauces and mix well.

Add the cooked noodles and mix well .

Garnish with coriander leaves or spring onion greens.

Serve hot .

NOTES .

  1. Chop the vegetables thinly and keep ready before you start.
  2. Instead of chopped ginger garlic , you can use 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.
  3. This recipe is similar to hakka noodles ,only the noodles used is different.
  4. For schezwan taste add schezwan sauce – 1 tbsp.
  5. The noodles should not be mushy.
  6. The veges have to be chopped lengthwise / julienned .
  7. You can also add other veges like mushroom ,peas colourful bellpeppers ,french beans etc
