IDLI CHAAT

idli chaat

INGREDIENTS

  • Mini idli OR chopped idlis – 8 pieces
  • Papdi – 8
  • Curd – 3 tbsp + 1 tsp sugar
  • Very finely chopped onion – 1 tbsp or as required
  • Chilli pwdr – 1/8 tsp or a pinch to sprinkle
  • Roasted jeera pwdr – as required
  • Chaat masala – as required
  • Masala chana /roasted peanuts – 1 tbsp
  • Green chutney
  • Sweet chutney
  • Garlic chutney
  • Very fine nylon sev
  • Lemon juice – few drops
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped to garnish

PREPARATION

  1. Deep fry or shallow fry the idlis for a minute or less or toast it on a pan in butter .
  2. Mix the curd with ½ tsp sugar .Dont whisk ,the curd has to be thick.

METHOD

Arrange the papdis in circle.

Place an idli on top.

Add curd all over , drizzle  sweet chutney + green chutney + garlic chutney .

Spread the onions + chana /peanuts all over .

Sprinkle jeera pwdr + chaat masala pwdr .

Drizzle few drops of lemon juice.

Garnish with coriander leaves + sev + masala chana .

Serve immediately.

Notes 

  1. U can also add raw mango /kairi / tomato /potato .
  2. Add ingredients as per your taste .
