INGREDIENTS

  • Paneer or Cottage cheese, crumbled or grated – 250 gms
  • Onion – 1 big , finely chopped.
  • Tomatoes – 1 big , finely chopped.
  • Green chilly finely chopped  – 1
  • ginger garlic paste or grated – 1 tsp
  • Chilli pwdr – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp OR kitchen king masala – 1 tsp
  • Pav bhaji masala – 1 tsp [ gives more flavor]
  • Kasoori methi – 1 or 2 tsp.
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped – to garnish.
  • 1/4 cup water or milk or fresh cream

METHOD:

Grate or mash the paneer or crumble and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.

Add the finely chopped onions, saute for a while till they become soft saute them for 3-4 mins.

Add the chopped tomatoes and fry them till they are cooked.

Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder ,pav bhaji masala and garam masala powder and mix well.

Add water / milk , give a mix and cook for a min .

Then add the paneer mix very nicely so that all the spices blend together.

Sprinkle a few drops (may be 1 tbsp) of water if required [if it looks very dry ] , cover and cook for just 1 or 2 mins.

Don’t overcook .
Garnish with a handful of finely chopped coriander and kasoori methi pwdr .

Serve it hot with rotis, bread , pav ,naan and paratha.- Indian bread recipes

NOTE 

  1. Use home made paneer it tastes more better, also the texture will be good if using home made paneer. –
  2. Pav bhaji masala enhances the flavour .
  3. we can also add finely chopped capsicum or boiled green peas .
