INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – 1 ½ cup
  • Dry yeast – 1 tsp
  • Warm Milk – ¼ cup [ not hot ]
  • Warm Water – ¼ cup to knead the dough [ not hot ]
  • Sugar – ½ tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp

METHOD

Mix the yeast well in warm milk + sugar, cover and keep aside for 10 mins till it becomes frothy. The yeast should dissolve completely and the mixture should double in quantity.

Add this mixture to the flour + salt + olive oil and knead it into a soft dough.[ you can sprinkle few drops if water is less]

Cover it with a wet cloth and keep aside for minimum 1 hr or more, for the dough to rise. [more the better ]

After 1 hr , knead the dough again by punching.

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll it into balls .

** Preheat the  oven at 210 *

Roll the balls into 1 cm thick base by dusting dry flour  as shown in the pic.

Transfer the base in a baking pan or tray.

Prick the base everywhere with a fork .

Bake it at 210 * for 5 – 7 mins . [ baking time depends on the thickness of the base ]

Check after 5 mins .

Once done allow it to cool .

Pizza base ready to use .

NOTES

  1. Check the expiry date of the yeast before using .
  2. U can also add mixed herbs /oregano /chilli flakes in the flour to get seasoned base .
  3. It can be baked in a kadai /pan / cooker .baking time will be same  – Cooker cake
  4. Don’t keep the dough open ,always cover it damp muslin cloth .
  5. The dough should not be hard ,should be light .
  6. You can refrigerate the dough and use .
  7. You can take a mixture of maida + wheat flour OR even make with only wheat flour.
  8. If u overbake ,it will brown up fast .
  9. You can make 3 pan size base .I made mini size.
