Salt and pepper prawns

                                                                      SALT AND PEPPER PRAWNS

INGREDIENTS

  • Prawns – 25 nos [ medium size ]
  • Butter + oil – 1 tbsp [ I prefer olive oil ]
  • Garlic – 4 finely chopped
  • Freshly grounded pepper corn – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Salt as per taste
    • Soya sauce – 1 tsp [ optional ]

PREPARATION.

Remove the shells and devein the  prawns . Rub little salt , wash ,rinse and keep aside .

If you want you can keep the back tail intact.

METHOD

Heat oil + butter in a pan .

Add the drained prawns and stir fry on medium flame.

The prawns will sweat [ leave water].

Allow it to cook in this water. [ 5 mins ]

Once the complete water evaporates , butter + oil will be separated.

Add the finely chopped garlic and stir fry for a min .

Adjust salt +  pepper and stir fry.

Finally add soya sauce and give a nice mix …. [ optional ]

Off the flame and serve as a starter with any dips or sauce.

NOTES .

  1. Be careful while adding salt as we have added butter.
  2. Don’t reduce the butter as it gives a lot of flavour together with garlic.
  3. Use fresh prawns.
  4. You can use tiger prawns also.
  5. You can use the flesh of lobster and crab and try the same recipe.
  6. You can also try this recie with small pieces of chicken .
  7. Instead pepper you can try chilli flakes.
