TULSI KADHA / HERBAL TEA

INGREDIENTS

  • 15 – 20 leaves of tulsi
  • 8 – 10 whole pepper corns
  • 2 inch piece ginger (crushed)
  • 2 cups water
TULSI KADHA – HERBAL TEA

METHOD:

Put all the ingredients in a pan and boil it till the water is reduced to half. Store it in the jar n have it twice a day while hot.

Once in d morning when you make it and once before go to the bed

You may also add a tsp of honey just before drinking

TIPS

  1. Never put honey n heat it. Mix honey after heating the kada.
  2. Always drink it while it’s hot. You may reheat it
  3. It is advisable that you consume it the same day, avoid keeping it in d fridge.
  4. You can also add jaggery instead of honey .
  5. Tulsi has many health benefits.
  6. We can also add lemon grass.

What is a Kadha ?

  • Kadha or ‘karha’ is essentially an Ayurvedic drink made with herbs and spices that are boiled usually in water to extract their benefits.
  • With a variety of whole spices, ingredients and herbs easily found in an Indian household.
  • The decoction is the most inexpensive home remedy to strengthen your immunity and fight infections.
