Veg caesar salad

VEG CAESAR SALAD

INGREDIENTS

  • Iceberg Lettuce torn into bite size – 2 cup
  • Mayo – 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Milk – 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Finely minced garlic – 1
  • Chilli flakes – ½ tsp
  • Mixed herbs / oregano – ½ tsp
  • Very little salt
  • Pepper pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Bread toasted – 2 slices
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • Grated cheese – 1 or 2 tsp
  • Basil leaves or coriander leaves for garnish [optional]

PREPARATION

  1. Make a mixture of mayo + milk + garlic + chilli flakes + mixed herbs + salt + pepper pwdr .
  2. Toast the bread on both the sides till crispy . Chop it into small cubes.

METHOD

Take a serving plate .

Arrange the torn ice berg lettuce .

Spread a layer of croutons .

Pour the mayo mixture all over .

Drizzle the olive oil .

Spread the grated cheese

Finally garnish with coriander or basil leaves . [ You can also garnish with green and black olive slices .

Once it is served ,just mix everything so that the icebergs are coated well with the mayo and enjoy.

VARIATION

  1. For chicken – stir fry boneless chicken in butter + salt and pepper.
  2. For prawns – stir fry prawns in butter + salt and pepper.
  3. For egg – chop boiled eggs and add .

NOTES

  1. I have not added garlic ,as I have used garlic mayo.
  2. You can use parmesan cheese.
