                                                                         VEG NOODLES FRANKIE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS.

  • Maida – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – ½ cup
  • Sliced onion – ½ cup
  • Finely chopped ginger garlic green chilli – 2 tsp
  • Sliced capsicum – ½ cup
  • Sliced cabbage – 1 cup
  • Sliced carrots – ½ cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – ½ tbsp
  • Cooked noodles – ½ cup [ optional ]
  • Salt and pepper pwdr as per taste.
  • Finely chopped spring onion greens or coriander leaves – 2 tbsp

USE TORTILLAS – Tortilla

METHOD

Make a soft and pliable dough of maida + wheat flour + salt + 1 tsp oil .Cover and keep aside to rest.

Heat oil in a pan, add ginger + garlic + green chilli and fry.

Add onion and fry for few seconds , add capsicum + carrot +  cabbage and stir fry .

Add the noodles and mix well.

Add all the sauces + salt and mix well.

Drizzle few drops of water and mix well. [it should be of wet consistency  ,or it would be very dry while eating.]

Remove from heat and keep aside.

Divide the dough into equal portions,and roll it into balls.

Take each ball and roll it into circles by dusting flour.

Heat a tava and roast the wrap on both the sides by drizzling few drops of oil if required.

ASSEMBLING

Take each wrap and  spread a layer of ketchup and chilli sauce as required .

Now spread the filling in the centre in a line .

Sprinkle chaat masala .

You can also add grated cheese .

Wrap it and serve it hot .

Wrap each half way down with a tissue paper or foil.

NOTES.

  1. Instead of noodles you can add paneer or cooked chicken or mushroom or tofu or scrambled egg or grated cheese
  2. You can fill in with potato masala layer .
  3. Streetside frankies ,they use only maida dough .
  4. You can add schezwan sauce also.
  5. Let the filling be wet and not dry.
  6. While spreading the fiiling you can add more tomato sauce or chilli sauce.
