Banana sheera
NARAYAN SHEERA / BANANA SHEERA / PRASAD SHEERA

INGREDIENTS
- Rava – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Ghee – 1 cup
- Dry fruits – 1/2 cup [ cashew /badam/kismis/
- Milk – 2 1/2 cup
- Fresh Banana – 1 [ not over riped or black ]
- Cardamom pwdr – 1/2 tsp
- Few saffron strands soaked in 1 tbsp milk [ optional ]
METHOD
Heat a heavy bottom pan with the ghee.
Add the dry fruits and fry till golden.
Remove and keep aside.
In the same ghee add the rava and fry for 3 – 4 mins on medium flame till the colour changes to pink . [stir in between ]
Now add the fried dried fruits and chopped banana ,stir and cook for a min.
Add the milk + soaked saffron and mix well.
Cover and cook for 5 mins on low flame.
Add the sugar mix well.
Cover and cook again for 4 – 5 mins on low flame .[ stir in between ]
Sheera is ready for offering to God /Satyanarayan pooja
NOTE – the authentic recipes asked for equal quantity of rava + sugar + ghee .But you can reduce the ghee to 1/2 or 3/4 cup and reduce sugar also to 3/4 cup.
