Bread pakora
BREAD PAKORA
- Bread slices – 6
- Besan – 1 cup
- Baking soda – a pinch [optional ]
- Finely chopped onion – 1 small
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
- Turmeric pwdr – a generous pinch
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Finely chopped green chilli – 1 or as per taste
- Salt to taste
- Oil or ghee or butter as required
- Sieve besan in a mixing bowl ,add all the other ingredients except oil and bread .
- Add ½ cup water and make a thick batter.
- Slice the bread into small squares.
Dip the bread slice in the batter and flip it in the batter so that it is coated from all sides.
Be quick at this process , else the bread will become soggy and break.
Flip and fry on both sides till done .
Drain and remove on absorbent paper.
Serve hot with sauce or chutney .
*** When hot grate cheese over it ,to make it more yum .
- You can also add veges like capsicum ,tomato ,mushroom etc in the batter .
- You can cut the bread into triangles or any other shape .
- Fry on medium low flame .
