JAGGERY JUICE / GUD [ GUR ] KA SHARBAT [ SUMMER DRINK ]

GUD KA SHARBAT

INGREDIENTS

  • Grated jaggery – 200 gms
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Grated ginger – 1 tsp
  • Cardamom – 3
  • Sabja / basil seeds – 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Water – ½ litre

METHOD

Soak basil seeds in ¼ cup water and keep in fridge .

Make a dry pwdr of fennel seeds + black pepper + cardamom .

Take jaggery + dry pwdr + ginger  +  water and allow it to boil till the jaggery melts.

Strain and allow it to cool .

Once it cools ,add the lemon juice , mix it well and keep it to chill .

While serving take few ice cubes in a glass ,pour the juice and top it with little soaked basil seeds .
