Kokam juice recipe

                                                       KOKAM JUICE

INGREDIENTS

  • Dry Kokum – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 2 cup
  • Water – 2 ½ cup
  • Roasted cumin pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – a pinch

PREPARATION

Wash the kokum and soak  in 2 ½  cup hot water for 2 – 3  hrs

METHOD

Remove the kokum from the water and grind it to a smooth paste.[don’t discard the water]

In same water add the sugar and boil it till it becomes little thick.

Allow it to cool.

Add the kokum paste into the sugar syrup and mix well.

Strain it through a strainer.

Add salt + jeera pwdr and mix well.

Kokum juice concentrate is ready

Store it in a airtight bottle in the fridge,

While serving dissolve 3- 4  tbsp  in a glass of cold water.[ you can adjust sugar and strength of the juice as per your taste  ]
