Moong dal kheer recipe

PROCESS

INGREDIENT

  • Yellow Moong dal – 1 cup
  • Powdered Jaggery – 1 or 1 1/4 cup [adjust sweetness according to your taste]
  • Coconut milk – 2 cup
  • Water – 1 cup [as per the consistency you want]
  • Elaichi pwdr -1 tsp
  • Broken Cashew fried in ghee for garnishing
  • Ghee – 2 tsp

NOTE

  • Instead of coconut milk you can add regular milk.
  • Avoid water and use more of coconut milk for a rich taste.
  • You can also add nutmeg pwdr .
  • If time provides soak the roasted dal for some time.
  • For variation use chana dal.
  • Instead of cashew you can use fried small coconut piece
  • You can also add raisins.
