MOONG DAL PAYASAM / PARUPPU PAYASAM / MOONG DAL KHEER
PROCESS
INGREDIENT
- Yellow Moong dal – 1 cup
- Powdered Jaggery – 1 or 1 1/4 cup [adjust sweetness according to your taste]
- Coconut milk – 2 cup
- Water – 1 cup [as per the consistency you want]
- Elaichi pwdr -1 tsp
- Broken Cashew fried in ghee for garnishing
- Ghee – 2 tsp

NOTE
- Instead of coconut milk you can add regular milk.
- Avoid water and use more of coconut milk for a rich taste.
- You can also add nutmeg pwdr .
- If time provides soak the roasted dal for some time.
- For variation use chana dal.
- Instead of cashew you can use fried small coconut piece
- You can also add raisins.
