- • Toor dal – ½ cup
- • Turmeric – ½ tsp
- • Tomato – 1
- • Oil – 1 tbsp
- • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- • Curry leaves
- • Red chilli – 2
- • Asafoetida – generous pinch
- • Shallots / onion - - 10 nos shallots OR medium size onion
- • Mix veges – 2 or 3 cups [ brinjal / ladies finger /whiteand yellow pumkin/beans /Carrot / potato ]
- • Sambar powder – 3 tbsp or as per taste
- • Jaggery – 1 ½ tsp or as per taste
- • Tamarind – small marble size soaked in ½ cup hot water
- • Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish
