AFLATOON MITHAI

INGREDIENTS
- Rava – 1/2 cup
- Milk pwdr – 1/2 cup
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Ghee of good quality – 1/2 cup
- khoya /mava – 200 gm
- Milk – 1 cup
- Thinly sliced pista – 1/4 cup
- Thinly sliced almonds – 1/4 cup
- Thinly sliced cashew – 1/4 cup
- Greased tin
METHOD [ It is a slow cooking process ,has to be done on medium– low flame by continous stirring ]
Heat a non stick pan with 2 tbsp ghee and add all the 3 dry fruits.
Fry on low flame for a minute .[ colour should not change ]
Drain and remove the dryfruits and keep aside .
Now add the remaining ghee .
Add the rava and fry on medium low flame by continuously stirring .
Fry till light golden colour .[ 8 – 10 mins ]
*** be careful don’t burn it .
Now add the milk powder and sugar and mix well .
Again stir and cook till the colour changes.[ 6 – 7 mins ]
Add the milk + grated khoya + 3/4 portion of the fried nuts and mix well .
Continuously stir and cook till the mixture starts leaving the pan and thickens and becomes a lump.[ 4 – 5 mins ]
Transfer the mixture to the greased tin and flatten it with a spatula.
Spread the remaining dry fruits and press it .
Allow it to cool for 1 hr.
Now slice it into desired shape and serve .
Notes
- You can add few drops of rose water or essence .
