Eggless soft and moist chocolate cake
EGGLESS SOFT AND MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE
INGREDIENTS
- Maida – 1 ½ cup
- Unsweetened cocoa pwdr – 3 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Oil – ¼ cup[no smell ]
- Baking soda – 1 tsp
- Lemon juice OR vinegar – 1 tbsp
- Water – 1 cup [room temperature ]
- Vanilla essence – 1 ½ tsp
- Greased baking tin
PREPARATION
- Sieve together maida + cocoa pwdr baking soda twice and keep aside in a mixing bowl .
- The dry mixture is ready .
- Take the sugar in a mixie jar and powder it .
- In the same jar add water and blend again till the sugar melts .
- Now add oil + vanilla essence +vinegar or lemon juice and blend again .
- The wet mixture is ready .Keep it aside .
METHOD
Preheat the oven at 180*C convection mode .
Now add the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mix well .
Never beat the cake batter always mix the batter using a spatula .
Once the batter is mixed well without any lumps , pour it into the greased tin .
Tap the tin gently twice .
Bake it in preheated oven for 40 to 45 mins OR till the toothpick inserted in the centre comes clean .
Mine was done in 40 mins.
Baking time differs for different oven and the size of baking tin .
Once done allow it to cool for 10 – 15 mins .
Run a knife around the edges to loosen the cake ,invert the cake over a rack and again allow it to cool completely before slicing it .
Cake is ready for serving it plain or for icing .
