EGGLESS SOFT AND MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE

Eggless soft and moist chocolate cake

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – 1 ½ cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa pwdr – 3 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Oil – ¼ cup[no smell ]
  • Baking soda – 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice OR  vinegar – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 1 cup [room temperature ]
  • Vanilla essence – 1 ½ tsp
  • Greased baking tin

PREPARATION

  1. Sieve together maida + cocoa pwdr baking soda twice and keep aside in a mixing bowl .
  2. The dry mixture is ready .
  3. Take the sugar in a mixie jar and powder it .
  4. In the same jar add water and blend again till the sugar melts .
  5. Now add oil + vanilla essence  +vinegar or lemon juice and blend again .
  6. The wet mixture is ready .Keep  it aside .

METHOD

Preheat the oven at 180*C convection mode .

Now add the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mix well .

Never beat the cake batter always mix the batter using a spatula .

Once the batter is mixed well without any lumps , pour it into the greased tin .

Tap the tin gently twice .

Bake it in preheated oven for 40 to 45 mins OR till the toothpick inserted in the centre comes clean .

Mine was done  in 40 mins.

Baking time differs for different oven and the size of baking tin .

Once done allow it to cool for 10 – 15 mins .

Run a knife around the edges to loosen the cake ,invert the cake over a rack and again allow it to cool completely before slicing it .

Cake is ready for serving it plain or for icing .
