KALA CHANA MASALA
Kala Chana is a type of legume loaded with nutrients such as protein, fibre and carbohydrates. It is an incredible source of vitamins like B6, C, folate, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin and minerals including manganese, phosphorus, iron and copper.
Kala chana is a healthy addition to any diet. It is naturally low in fat, high in dietary fibre and rich in vitamins and minerals. It is high in fibre and protein, and has a low glycemic index.
One such food is black chickpea. Black chickpea or kala chana is popularly known as a good source of protein. It can be added to your daily diet to control diabetes and blood sugar levels naturally. Most people consume boiled kala chana every morning as it offers numerous health benefits.

METHOD
Heat oil in a pan .
Add the onion and fry on medium flame till brown .
Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves .
Add tomato puree + salt and fry till oil separates .
*** very important to fry the onion and tomato on slow process till masala colour changes.
Add chana masala+ turmeric + red chilli pwdr +coriander pwdr + chaat masala + sugar + ketchup and fry .
Add the boiled chana and mix well .
Mash a small portion of chana with a masher .
Add 1 cup water and mix well .
Allow it to boil .
Once it starts boiling , lower the flame to lowest.
Cover and cook for 5 mins .
Once done ,open and mix well.
Finally garnish with of kasoori methi .
Serve hot with any Indian bread or rice variety .
