CUSTARD POWDER NANKHATAI

Custard Nankhatai recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – ½ cup
  • Custard pwdr vanilla flavour – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – pwdr – 5 tbsp
  • Ghee – 4 tbsp or 4 1/2 tbsp or as required
  • Vanilla essence – 2 or 3 drops only

METHOD

Sieve together maida + custard pwdr.

Cream together ghee and sugar till pale and fluffy .

Add the flour mixture and start kneading .

If the mixture is dry ,and you are not able to shape it add little ghee .

While kneading don’t apply more pressure .

Also while shaping the nankhatais do it gently without pressing too hard .

Arrange on baking tray .

Preheat the oven at 180 * C

Bake the nankhatai in preheated oven for 15 to 17 mins or till it is done.

Once done allow it to cool completely .

It will be soft when hot.

It becomes firm on cooling .

NOTES

1. You can add besan

2.Also you can add 1 tsp of sooji for grainy texture .

3.Add ghee gradually .
