Eggless besan bread omelette /toast
EGGLESS BESAN BREAD OMELETTE /TOAST
INGREDIENTS
- Bread slices – 6
- Besan – 1 cup
- Finely chopped onion – 1 small
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
- Turmeric pwdr – a generous pinch
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Finely chopped green chilli – 1 or as per taste
- Salt to taste
- Oil or ghee or butter as required
PREPARATION
- Make a thick batter of besan + water [1/2 cup approximately ].
- Add onion + coriander leaves + turmeric + ginge garlic pwaste + green chilli + salt and mix well .
- *** the batter has to be thick else the bread will not be coated .
METHOD
Heat a non stick pan on medium and add the butter /oil .
Dip the bread slice in the batter and flip it in the batter so that it is coated from all sides.
Be quick at this process , else the bread will become soggy and break.
Place it on the hot pan .
Pour some batter with onions over the bread and spread it .
Flip and cook on both sides till done on medium low flame.
** Don’t burn it
Serve hot with sauce or chutney .
*** When hot grate cheese over it ,to make it more yum .
NOTES
- You can also add veges like capsicum ,tomato ,mushroom etc.
- You can cut the bread into triangles or any shape .
- Cook on medium low flame .
- While serving you can also sprinkle mixed herbs /oregano /pepper pwdr / chaat masala pwdr /chilli flakes .
