EGGLESS CHOCO CHIP CAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – 1 cup
  • Baking powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
  • Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup [ 1 tbsp less ]
  • Milk at room temperature – 1/2 cup
  • Oil – 1/4 cup [ no smell / no colour ]
  • Vanilla essence or any essence – 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Choco chips – 1/4 cup
  • Maida flour – 1 tsp for dusting the choco chips

PREPARARTION

  1. Sieve maida + powdered sugar + baking salt + baking powder twice .
  2. Grease and dust a baking tin .
  3. Preheat the oven at 180 * C .
  4. Take the choco chips in a bowl and add 1 tsp of maida to it and mix well with hands ,so that all chips are coated with the flour .

METHOD

Take milk + oil + vanilla essence + vinegar in a mixing bowl and whisk well .

[ you can blend in mixie jar also ]

Add the sieved flour to this mixture and mix with a spatuala .

*****Remember no beating the batter after adding flour for any cake recipe.

****If the batter is very thick ,you can add 1 tbsp milk .[ the batter should not be thin ,else the choco chips will settle at the bottom ]

Sprinkle the choco chips and mix gently .

Pour the batter in the greased tin and tap it gently .

Bake it in preheated oven for 30 mins at 180 * C on middle rack – check after 25 mins .

Once the cake is done ,allow it to cool .

Run a knife around the edges of the tin to loosen the cake .

Remove and again cool it for sometime.

Slice and serve .

NOTES

  1. You can reduce sugar by 1 tbsp as per your taste .
  2. Instead of vanilla essence you can try any essence .
  3. You can store the cake for 3 days .
  4. After adding the choco chips ,be quick in baking else it will sink down.
  5. Dusting of choco chips is must .
  6. Instead of cake ,you can make cup cakes with same batter .
  7. I baked it in the middle rack .
  8. For choco cake just add 1 tbsp cocoa pwdr with the flour .
