Mac n cheese
MAC AND CHEESE
INGREDIENTS
- Macaroni – 1 cup
- Maida / APF – 2 tbsp
- Butter + Oil – 2 tbsp
- Milk – 2 1/2 or 3 cup
- Cheese cubes + mozarella cheese grated – 1/2 cup or more
- Crushed pepper – 1/8 tsp
- Mixed herbs / oregano – 1/4 cup
- Chilli flakes – 1/4 tsp
- Colourful capsicum finely chopped – 1/4 cup
- Boiled corn – 1/4 cup
- Salt to taste
PREPARATION.
Cook macaroni in boiling water with salt . Cook for 7 – 9 minutes till done . Drain the water and keep aside. Don’t overcook it. It should be firm and not mushy. [follow the instruction given on the packet]
METHOD
Heat oil + butter in a pan ,add the flour and stir fry .
Now add the milk and mix well.
Stir and cook till it thickens .
Add grated cheese and mix well .
Add salt + chilli flakes + pepper pwdr + mixed herbs and mix well .
Add the cooked macaroni and mixed well .
Mac and cheese is ready to serve ,.
Serve hot.
VARIATION
After making the mac and cheese ,transfer it to a oven safe bowl ,Top it with grated cheese and bake it till the cheese melts .Your baked mac and cheese is ready to serve .
NOTES
- Use olive ,you can just use butter but adding little oil with avoids butter from burning .
- Veges are optional .
- Adjust seasoning as per taste .
- Instead of veges you can add boiled chicken pieces.
