Oven roasted tindora
OVEN ROASTED TENDLI / TINDORA / IVY GOURD
INGREDIENTS
- Tendli – 150 or 200 gms
- Red chilli as per taste
- Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala pwdr – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Rice flour or cornflour – 1 tsp optional
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Olive oil or regular oil – 2 or 3 tbsp
PREPARATION
- Clean ,wash ,rinse and pat dry the tendli .Chop off the top and bottom .Slice it into thin strips as shown in image.
- Preheat the oven at 180 *
METHOD
Take the sliced tendli in a plate and add all the other ingredients one by one
Mix well by applying little pressure.
Spread a single layer on a baking tray .
Bake it for 20 to 25 mins .
In between turn the vege one time.
Once the tendlis are baked they curl and shrink .
Remove and transfer to a serving bowl .
Sprinkle little chaat masala / coriander leaves while serving .
VARIATIONS – For western taste u can just add mixed herbs / oregano / chilli flake or any variety of herbs + olive and bake .
NOTES
- Instead of 180 ,u can bake at 200 * also .[ next time I will try ]
- Be generours with oil .
- Instead of garam masala ,u can try pav bhaji masala / sambar masla
- U can also add few whole garlics.
- U can try this recipe with other veges like cauliflower / ladies finger /arbi / potato etc.
