ONION RICE
A quick and easy recipe of fried rice laced with onions and a tangy flavor of lemon. A mouthwatering onion flavoured rice recipe, Onion rice has stir fried onions and spice powders tossed with boiled rice.
Seasoned Onion Rice (aka Vagharelo Bhaat) is a practically effortless way to a quick lunch or snack. Like Fried Rice, this dish comes out best with some leftover rice or even freshly cooked rice
The crunch of the onions and the zest of the lime gives rice a fresh taste.

METHOD
Heat oil / ghee in a pan .
Add jeera + saunf + 1 clove + 1 tiny piece of cinnamon + 1 green cardamom and give a stir .
Add green chilli + curry leaves + ginger garlic and stir fry for few seconds .
Add onion and stir fry the onion till translucent .
The onions should not brown . it should have the crunch .
Add salt + sugar + turmeric + pepper and mix well.
Add 2 tbsp coriander leaves and mix.
Add cooked rice and mix well .
Cover and cook for a minute and off the flame.
Add lemon juice and give a mix .
Serve with raita or any side dish .
