PEANUT BUTTER GRILLED CHICKEN

Chicken is one of the most valued foods among people of all ages, throughout the world. Not only it forms a crucial part of various culinary traditions but it is also highly nutritious and delicious to taste.

One can eat chicken on a daily basis; however, it is good to use cooking methods like boiling, grilling, roasting or baking rather than frying as it can lead to various health problems.

Barbecue chicken consists of chicken parts or entire chickens that are barbecued, grilled or smoked. There are many global and regional preparation techniques and cooking styles. Barbecue chicken is often seasoned or coated in a spice rub, barbecue sauce, or both.

Peanut butter grilled chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken boneless breast – 500 grms
  • Peanut butter – 2 tbsp
  • Hot water – 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Brown sugar / honey – 1 tsp
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  • Finely minced garlic – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Pepper pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Chilli flakes – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

  1. Clean wash , rinse and pat dry the chicken breast .
  2. Give few slits .

METHOD

Take all ingredients [except chicken ] one by one in a bowl and mix well .

Check the taste of marinade and adjust accordingly .

Add the chicken breast.

Using hands coat the chicken well with the marinade all over including the cuts.

Cover and keep aside for 30 mins minimum or more or over ni8 in fridge.

More the marination, better the taste and texture.

Heat a grill pan .

Drizzle little oil all over .

Place the chicken and cook for 10 to 12 mins on each side on medium flame.

*Cooking time depends on the thickness of the breast .

Once done serve hot with stir fried veges etc  accompanied by any dips or sauces .
