WHITE CHOCOLATE POPSICLES

White chocolate popsicles

INGREDIENTS

  • Vanilla sponge cake or any leftover cake crumbled – 2 or 2 1/2 cup
  • White chocolate compound bits – 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cream – 3 or 4 tbsp
  • White compound chocolate bits – 1 1/2 cup
  • Oil / butter – 2 tsp
  • Sprinklers or any decorative items as required
  • Lollipop sticks

PREPARATION

Chop the compound chocolate into small bits using knife .

*** I have given the chocolate quantity in cups measurement as I don’t have a kitchen weighing scale.

                                                                           STEP 1

Either bake a cake freshly or use leftover  cake or buy readymade cupcakes and crumble it well with hands ,see that there are no lumps. We need smooth textured .

Take 1/2 cup white compound chocolate bits in a microwave bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.

Remove and mix it with a spatula.

Again microwave for 30 secs .

Remove and add the fresh cream , mix well .

And microwave again for 30 secs .

Mix well till smooth  and pour it over the cake crumbs and mix well .

Mix and  make a smooth dough .

Take a small portion of dough and roll it .

Roll it into smooth balls .

Pass the pipe through .

Try giving a smooth finish all over.

Now refrigerate this for an hr .

                                                       STEP 2 [ after 1 hr ]

Again take a microwave bowl with 1 1/2 cup of white chocolate bits .

Microwave for 30 secs .

Remove mix well and microwave again for 30 secs.

Again remove add oil / butter and microwave for 30 secs till smooth pouring consistency without any lumps .

*** always use a spatula ,it helps in scraping the excess from the edges of the bowl .

Now pour this in a small glass .

Remove the popsicles from the fridge .

Now take each popsicle and dip it in the melted chocolate .

*** You can also dip 2 at a time ,this helps in increasing the level of chocolate.

Swirl it so that it is evenly covered by the chocolate on all sides .

Hold the popsicle over the chocolate so that excess chocolate drips down.

Now immediately decorate it with the sprinklers of your choice.

Be quick as the chocolate hardens fast .

Place the popsicles over a butter paper or foil or a sieve like I have used .

Within few minutes the popsicles set .

Popsicles  are ready to serve .

VARIATIONS

  1. You can use chocolate cake with dark chocolate compound .
  2. You can use any cake ,red velvet ,any flavoured . etc Just play with any combination of your choice .
  3. I used left over cake .

NOTES

  1. Popsicles can be kept in room temperature for few hrs, else keep in fridge.
  2. We can decorate it with small fondant decorative items .
  3. Same recipe goes for cakesicles , we have to use cakesicle mould and candy stick.
