Lychee sorbet
LYCHEE SORBET
INGREDIENTS
- Lychees – 12 or 1 cup of pulp
- Water – cup
- Sugar – 3 OR 4 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp [ optional ]
PREPARATION
Peel the skin and discard the seeds of lychee. Keep the pulp aside .We need 1 cup of pulp.
METHOD
Take the lychee pulp + sugar in a mixer jar and grind well.
Now add 1 cup water + lemon juice and blend until smooth .
Transfer this to a flat freezer box .
Freeze it for 3 hrs.
After 3 hrs remove and scrape it using a fork or spoon ,transfer to the mixie jar and grind it again till smooth .
Again keep in he freezer for 1 hour .
After 1 hr again scrape ,grind and freeze.
** Take out every one hour and repeat this process for 5 times.
After the fifth time ,freeze it for overnight or 8 hrs .
Litchee sorbet is ready to serve .
Scoop it and serve .
Have it immediately as it can melt fast .
** you can use a chilled bowl to serve.
NOTE
- Try this recipe with tender coconut – 1 cup of tender coconut flesh + 1 cup tender coconut water + sugar .
