Methi biscuits
METHI BISCUITS / MASKA CHASKA / KRACKJACK BISCUIT / NO BAKING SODA AND NO BAKING PWDR BISCUITS /EGGLESS BISCUITS

INGREDIENTS
- Maida – 1 cup
- Unsalted butter – ½ cup
- Sugar powdered – ¼ cup
- Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp
- Fennel seeds –1 tbsp
- A pinch of salt
- Milk – 1 tbsp if required
- Baking tray lined with parchment paper
- Mould or cutter
PREPARATION
Cream together sugar and butter till fluffy and pale in colour.
Add other ingredients and start mixing .
Knead it into a soft and stiff dough like chapati dough .
*If the dough is dry the add milk ,if it it is very loose then add flour to adjust the texture of the dough.
METHOD
Preheat the oven at 180 * C.
Dust the rolling surface and roll the dough into thin circle of 1/8 inch thickness.
*It should not be very thin or very thick .
Now either use a mould or a cutter and give desired shapes.
Arrange the biscuits on the tray.
Prick few holes here and there .
Bake the biscuits for 18 to 20 mins.
Check after 15 mins .
*Thinner the biscuits ,lesser the baking time.
The biscuits will be soft when hot .
It becomes crispy on cooling .
VARIATION – you can make these biscuits as masala biscuits by adding finely chopped green chilli /finely chopped curry leaves /coriander leaves etc.
NOTE
If you want you can roast the fennel seeds and kasoori methi for few seconds.
You can add the kasoori methi leaves whole .I have powdered ones ,so added powdered .
