Lukewarm milk – 1 cup [ May be little more or less to ]
Oil – 1/4 cup
Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
Baking powder – 1/4 tsp

PREPARATION
- Grease a baking tin .Tin should be small .
- Break the biscuits roughly with hands. Grind these into fine pwdr .
- Take the biscuit pwdr + powdered sugar + milk pwdr + cocoa pwdr in a mixing bowl and mix well so that all ingredients blend well .
- Now add the oil + milk + vanilla essence and mix well so that there are no lumps .
- Batter will be of thick flowing consistency so adjust milk accordingly .
METHOD
Remove the whistle and rubber ring from the cooker lid.
Keep the cooker with a stand in the centre on medium flame for 5 mins or low flame for 10 mins.
*** Keep the stand in such a way that it doesn’t touch the edges of the cooker .
Add the baking pwdr + baking soda and mix well . Dont over mix or beat the batter .
Pour the batter in the greased tin and tap it gently twice .
Place the tin carefully inside the hot cooker .The tin should not touch the edges of the cooker .There should be gap between the cooker and the tin .
Cover the lid and lower the flame to lowest .
Bake the cake for 35 to 40 mins.
*** it takes more time to bake as the tin is small /narrow .
Check after 30 mins by inserting a tooth pick in the centre . If it comes clean means the cake is baked.
** For me it took 40 mins .
Once done ,off the flame and allow the cake to cool in the cooker itself for 5 mins .
After 5 mins open the cooker and remove the tin using tongs.
Run a knife around the edges of the tin to loosen the cake .
Once the cake is cooled well ,slice it and serve .
VARIATIONS – You can bake in oven also at 180 * for 30 to 35 mins in convectional mode .
NOTES TO REMEMBER WHILE BAKING IN COOKER :-
- No gasket and no whistle.
- No water at the bottom.
- Always use a stand to place the tin as a separator between the cooker and tin..
- The tin should not touch the cooker from any sides that is why we use a stand.
- Be careful while placing the tin and removing the tin from the cooker as the cooker is very hot, Use tongs.
- Preheating the cooker is very important.
- Some use fine sand or salt at the bottom of the cooker upto 1 ½ inch height. I don’t use anything.
- Avoid non-stick cookers.
- Keep an old cooker just for this purpose.
- Use a tin which comfortably fits inside the cooker without touching the edges or sides of the cooker
- Baking time differs on the size of the tin and the amount of batter. Mostly it takes around 30 to 40 minutes for baking.
- You can bake any cake recipes or nankhatais /cookies in the cooker in same procedure.
