Bread ice cream
BREAD CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM
INGREDIENTS
- Bread slices – 4
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 1/2 cup
- Fresh cream – 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence – 1/4 tsp
- Cocoa pwdr – 1 or 2tsp
- Choco chips – 1 tbsp
- Choco syrup
METHOD
Take sugar in the mixie jar and powder it .
Tear the bread slices into small bits.
Add the bread pieces and grind .
Now add milk + cream + vanilla essence + cocoa pwdr and churn for 2 mins .
Pour this mixture in a freezer box and sprinkle the choco chips all over .
Put it in the freezer and freeze for 7 to 8 hrs or overnight till it sets well .
Once done remove and keep outside for few seconds ,to ease scooping.
Either slice or scoop the ice cream and serve by drizzling choco syrup.
NOTES
- Omit cocoa pwdr and your vanilla ice cream will be ready ,but here we have to discard the edges of the bread .
- If making chocolate ice cream ,then we can use brown bread also .
- For Indian flavour ,you can add cardamom pwdr and finely chopped dry fruits .
- If you want you can soak the bread in the milk for 20 minutes and then use it .
- Sugar can be replaced with condensed milk for rich texture .
- For different flavoured ice cream ,you can use different essences and food colour .Eg – red food colour and strawberry or rasberry essence .
