Dhaba style aloo matar
DHABA STYLE ALOO MATAR
INGREDIENTS
- Fresh green peas – 1 cup
- Potato – 2 chopped into big cubes
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Jeera – 1 tsp
- Onion finely chopped – 1
- Green chilli – 1 slit
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Tomato puree – made from 2 big tomato
- Chilli pwdr – 1 tsp or as taste
- Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
- Turmeric pwdr – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala pwdr / kitchen king masala – 3/4 tsp
- Sugar – 1/2 or 1 tsp
- Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
- Finely chopped coriander leaves to garnish
- Salt to taste
METHOD
Heat oil in a cooker , add jeera and let it splutter .
Add onion + green chilli and fry till golden brown .
Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves .
Lower the flame and add chilli pwdr + turmeric + garam masala + coriander pwdr and fry .
Add tomato puree + salt and fry till oil separates.
Add sugar + ketchup and mix well.
Add green peas + potato and mix well.
Fry for a minute.
Add 2 cup of water and mix well.
Pressure cook on medium flame upto 2 whistles.
Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and mix gently.
Garnish with coriander leaves .
Serve with naan/paratha/roti /rice /pav etc.
NOTES
- You can add kasoori methi in the end.
- Also you can add fresh cream .
