EGG OMELETTE  ROLL

INGREDIENTS

  • Egg – 2
  • Very finely chopped tomato and onion – ½ cup
  • Finely chopped green chilli – as per taste
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil + butter – 2 tsp

METHOD

Break the eggs into a bowl ,add salt and whisk / beat it well till frothy .

Now add the chilli + tomato + onion coriander leaves and mix well with a fork.

Heat oil /butter in a non stick pan.

Once the oil becomes hot ,lower the flame [ very low ] and add the egg batter and swirl the pan to spread the batter ot make a thin omelette so that it cooks fast ..

Cook on very low flame for few seconds .

Start rolling slowly till the end tomake it look like cylindrical log .

Now slice into small bite rolls .

Serve hot with bread andany sauce .

NOTES

  1. Beat / whisk the eggs well.
  2. I cook it on very low flame so that it cooks well and doesn’t burn from bottom.
  3. I have used basic ingredients ,you can also add capsicum, mushroom ,carrot ,cabbage, chilli flakes, sausage ,salaami, cheese ,cooked and shredded chicken .
  4. Butter gives more flavour .
  5. The bottom of the omelette should be yellow colour ,it should not burn.
  6. Always use fresh eggs or bring the fridge stored eggs to room temperature.
  7. While beating the egg add little milk for more fluffiness.
  8. Cook on low flame.
  9. Use non-stick.
  10. You can useany toppings for the omelette.
  11. Y not sprinkle cheese once it is cooked.
  12. Never add masala pwdrs while whisking it spoils the colour ,if you want to add then mix masala pwdr like chilli pwdr + garam masala + turmeric + pwpper pwdr with little water and add it to the beaten egg and once again whisk it well.
  13. Beat the egg first then add the other ingredients.
  14. For very fluffy omelette beat it in mixer and add a tbsp of milk .
