Plenty of crushed black peppercorns make this mutton curry extra flavourful.

Not only mutton is  a rich source of high-quality protein, but it is also an outstanding source of many vitamins and minerals, including iron, zinc, and vitamin B12. Because of this, regular consumption of lamb may promote muscle growth, maintenance, and performance. In addition, it helps prevent anemia.

Black pepper contains piperine, a compound which helps to enhance metabolic performance and prevents fat accumulation in the body. The spice also increases the concentration of good cholesterol. This round spice is a thermogenic food, which helps to speed up the metabolic process and burn calories more quickly.

INGREDIENTS

  • Mutton – 750 grms
  • Green cardamoms – 6
  • Cloves – 6
  • Cinnaman sticks – 3 small size
  • Onions sliced – 4 o 5
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Potato small cubes – 4
  • Freshly crushed black peppers – 1 or 11/2 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves + mint leaves – 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Green chillies – 5
  • 3 or 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – ½ or 1 cup

METHOD

Heat oil in a cooker.

Add whole garam masala , let it splutter.

Add onions + green chilli and stir fry till translucent .

Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves.

Add the mutton and mix well.

Stir and cook for 5 mins on high flame

Mix in the potatoes .

Add salt + water and mix .

Pressure cook on medium flame upto first whistle.

After the first whistle lower the flame and cook on lowest flame for 10 mins.

Let the pressure release.

Let it come to a boil .

Once it starts boiling add the pepper pwdr , mix well and off the flame .

Add the lemon juice and mix well .

Finally garnish with coriander and mint leaves .
