Tilwale palak
PALAK TIL MASALA / TIL PALAK / TILWALE PALAK

INGREDIENTS
- Palak – 1 medium bunch thinly sliced
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Crushed garlic – 1 tbsp
- Chilli pwdr – 1 ½ tsp or as taste
- Coriander pwdr – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – ½ tsp
- Roasted sesame seeds pwdr – 4 or 5 tbsp
PREPARATION
- Clean ,wash rinse the leaves .Drain off the excess water .
- Thinly slice the leaves and keep aside in a colander .
- Dry roast the sesame seeds till light golden.Allow it to cool and grind into powder .
- Don’t over grind the seeds or oil will ooze out .
METHOD
Heal oil in a pan ,add garlic and fry till pink .[don’t burn it ]
Add all the masala pwdrs ,give a stir and immediately add the palak leaves .
Stir fry on high flame till the leaves shrink completely for 2 to 3 mins.
Add the sesame pwdr = salt and mix well till all the leaves are coated with the sesame pwdr.
Stir fry on high flame for again 3 to 4 mins.
Once done off the flame .
Serve hot as side dish .
NOTES
- This recipe actually calls for more oil about 2 to 3 tbsp ,but I cooked in 1 tbsp oil.
- Instead of sesame seeds pwdr we can use roasted peanut pwdr or roasted besan .
- Adjust masala pwdr as per taste.
- Instead of garlic we can add ginger garlic paste .
- Garlic is optional .
- Same recipe can be tried with other veges ,but add the pwdr after the veges are cooked.
