BROCCOLI CUTLET / BROCCOLI TIKKI

Broccoli is a good source of fibre and protein, and contains iron, potassium, calcium, selenium and magnesium as well as the vitamins A, C, E, K

INGREDIENTS

  • Broccoli – 1 cup finely grated [ USE A FINE GRATER ]
  • Potato boiled and mashed – ¼ cup
  • Onion –  ¼ cup finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic green chilli  paste – 1 ½  tsp
  • Garam Masala powder – ¼  tsp
  •  Turmeric powder – generous pinch
  • Chaat masala – ½ tsp
  • Bread crumbs –  2 or 3 tbsp or as needed for binding
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp finely chopped
  •  Fresh lemon juice – few drops
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying cutlets

METHOD 


In a bowl, mix together broccoli + potato +  finely chopped onions + ginger-garlic -green chiili paste +  turmeric powder + garam masala powder + chaat masala +  finely chopped coriander leaves + salt +  lemon juice. + bread crumbs .

Mix well.

Divide the mixture into equal parts.

Now give any shapes .

 Refrigerate these for sometime if time provides .

Heat oil in a pan /tawa and shallow fry the cutlets on medium low heat until golden brown from all sides .
Serve hot with tomato ketchup / chutney or any dips.
