Gavar ki sabji
EASY GAVAR / CLUSTER BEANS KI SABJI
INGREDIENTS
- Cluster beans – 250 grms
- Onion – 1 finely chopped
- Tomato – 1 finely chopped
- Red chilli pwdr – 1 tsp
- Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
- Garlic crudhed – 1 tsp [ optional ]
- Jeera – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – few [optional ]
- Salt as per taste
PREPARATION
- Cut the ends and remove the strings. Cut it into half or desired size.Keep in water till use .
METHOD
Heat oil in a cooker ,add the jeera and let it sizzle .
Add onions and fry till translucent .
Add tomato + salt and cook till soft .
Add chilli pwdr + coriander pwdr + turmeric pwdr ,mix well and fry for few secs.
Add the beans and mix well.
Add 2 or 3 tbsp water and pressure cook upto 1 whistle on medium flame .
Allow the pressure to release , open and mix well.
If excess water ,cook till water evaporates .
** you can add 1 or 2 tbsp of coarsely ground roasted skinless peanut pwdr .
Garnish with freshly grated coconut + coriander leaves.
Serve as side dish for rice or chapati .
