KERALA CHILLI PAPADUM / MULAKUPAPPADAM / PAPPADAM MEZHUKKUPURATTY

INGREDIENTS

  • Kerala Pappadam – 10 – Recipe – https://maryzkitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/20220822_172944.jpg
  • Crushed shallots / small onion –10 to 12
  • Crushed whole red chilli flakes – 2 tsp or as per taste
  • Kashmirri red chilli pwdr – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric pwdr= ¼ tsp
  • Whole red chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves – 2 sprig
  • Oil for deep frying the papadum
  • Coconut Oil – 1 or 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

Cut pappadam into small pieces and deep fry them. Keep aside

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai and add small onions + curry leaves along with some salt ..

Roast till  golden colour ..

Lower the flame ,  add crushed chilli +turmeric + and mix well .

Now add the fried pappadam and mix well till all the pappadums are well coated with the masala .

Switch off the flame .

Spicy , crispy and yummy pappadam mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve with rice / kanji .
