CRISPY KARELA FRY /BITTER GOURD FRY

INGREDIENTS

  • Bitter gourd / karela – 2 [cut into thin circles]
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli pwdr and chaat masala as needed to sprinkle

PREPARATION

Wash and pat dry the karela .

Slice it into thin roundels .

In a bowl marinate bitter gourd slices with turmeric pwdr +  salt.

Leave it aside for 30 mins.

Squeeze and remove excess water .

Wash it well and again squeeze excess water .

Heat pan with oil & deep fry till golden brown on medium flame .

Don’t burn it .Once done drain and remove on absorbent paper .

Sprinkle salt , red chilli powder & chaat masala pwdr .

Serve hot with rice.
