Rice cutlet recipe
RICE CUTLET RECIPE / CUTLET MADE FROM LEFTOVER RICE
INGREDIENTS
- Cooked or Left over rice – 2 cup
- Bread slice – 2
- Finely chopped onion – 2 tbsp
- Ginger + green chilly + garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Chat masala – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp [optional]
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Salt as per taste
- Bread crumbs or rava for coating
- Oil for shallow fry
METHOD
Mash the rice well with hands.
Sprinkle little water on the bread slices.
Tear the bread slices into small pieces and add it to the rice and mix it well.
Now add onion + ginger garlic chilly paste + garam masala + chat masala + salt + turmeric pwdr + coriander leaves .
Mix well and make small tikkis.
Coat it with rava or bread crumbs and shallow fry it.
Serve with green chutney and sauce.

NOTES
- Bread is used for binding , you can also add boiled mashed potatoes instead of bread.
- You can add more veges like finely chopped carrot, beans, beetroot or cooked green peas.
- Do blend it in a mixer or it well become loose.
- To avoid more absorbtion of oil while frying , you can first dip the tikkis in cornflour paste [cornflour mixed with water] and then coat it with rava or breadcrumbs.
- You can also just dust the tikkis with corn flour.
- Give any shape.
- You can also make pakora by adding besan instead of potato or bread.
- Instead of potato or bread you can use rice flour.
- You can also deep fry it.
- You can also prepare of leftover khichdi or pulav
