Chocolate paratha
DRYFRUIT CHOCOLATE PARATHA
INGREDIENTS
- Wheat flour – 1 ½ cup
- Oil to knead the dough – 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Grated chocolate – 2 cup [dark chocolate + milk chocolate ]
- Very finely chopped / minced dry fruits – ½ cup [ cashew ,raisins,badam,pista ]
- Nutella – as required [ optional ]
- Ghee / butter /oil to fry the parathas
PREPARATION
- Mix wheat flour + salt + oil + water and knead it into a soft dough .Cover and keep aside for some time.
- Grate the chocolates and mince the dry fruits .Now make a thick mixture of grated chocolate + dry fruits + very little nutella .[ I added Nutella for binding ]
- Make small balls of the chocolate mixture .Smaller than the dough balls.
METHOD
Divide the dough into equal portions .
Roll each portions into balls.
Roll the balls into small circle and place enough of chocolate mixture in the centre.
Bring the edges of the dough together in the centre and pinch it.
Flatten this ball and roll into thick parathas by dusting dry flour.
Heat the tava or non stick pan.
Place the paratha on it .
Fry on both sides by drizzling little butter or ghee or oil.
While frying press it with a spatula around the edges .
Once done remove it.
Serve hot with home made butter / jam / chocolate sauce.
Why not top it with whip cream OR drizzle chocolate sauce over the parathas.
VARIATION [ no stuffing chocolate paratha ]– Knead wheat flour + melted chocolate + milk into a soft dough and make parathas.
NOTES
- The chocolate mixture should be thick and not gooey .I added nutella just for binding. So try adding less .
- It tastes yum when served hot.
- You can make chocolate parathas by just stuffing Nutella.
- Dry fruits are optional, but if adding chop it finely .
- Instead of grating you can chop or blend the chocolate.
- I have taken a mixture of dark and milk chocolate. You can use anyone.
- Y not try with white chocolate.
- In similar way we can make sweet parathas by stuffing motichoor ladoo / kalakand etc or any leftover sweets .
- Y not use powdered dry fruits.
