Chapatti pizza

                                                                                              ROTI / CHAPATTI  PIZZA

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – ½ cup
  • Wheat flour – ½ cup
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pizza sauce / pasta sauce /tomato sauce or ketchup as required
  • Cheese grated
  • Toppings of your choice – finely chopped onion ,tomato .capsicum ,olive ,mushroom,corn ,bell peppers , panner,tofu etc
  • Chilli flakes as required
  • Oregano as required
ROTI / CHAPATTI PIZZA

METHOD

Mix the wheat flour  + maida + salt + curd + oil .

Add water and knead it into a soft pliable chapatti dough.

Cover and keep aside for sometime.

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll it into balls.

Take each ball and roll it into chapatti of medium thickness. [Not very thick or very thin ]

Put the chapatti on a hot tava .

One side cook it fully and other side just cook it ¼ .

Remove the chapatti and allow it to cool .

Spread the pizza sauce on the fully cooked side.

Sprinkle little grated cheese.

Place the toppings and again sprinkle the grated cheese.

Place it on a hot tava and lower the flame. [very low ]

Cover the pizza with lid and cook for  1 – 2 mins ,till the bottom becomes crisp .[ don’t burn ,keep checking ]

Remove on a plate ,sprinkle chilli flakes + oregano .

Cut and serve hot.

NOTES

  1. For variation – spread the toppings on half of the chappati and fold the chapatti into semicircle and cook on both sides.
  2. For paratha pizza – spread the toppings on chapatti , cover it with one more chapatti and cook on both sides.
  3. Toppings to be used as per your taste. I had chicken tikka so I used it .
  4. Y not add finely chopped coriander for desi taste.
  5. Use mozzarella cheese for more taste.
  6. More the cheese better the taste.
  7. You can use leftover chapatti .
