Multigrain idli / wheat , jowar . Bajra and ragi idli
MULTIGRAIN IDLI / WHEAT , JOWAR . BAJRA AND RAGI IDLI
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup – raw rice
- 1 cup – par boiled rice
- 1 – cup skinless whole urad dal
- 1/2 cup – ragi / millet flour
- 1/2 cup jowar flour
- 1/2 cup bajra flour
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp – fenugreek seeds
- Fist full of poha or cooked rice
- Salt as per taste
PREPARATION
Wash and soak both the rice together for 6 hrs.
Wash and soak urad dal + fenugreek seeds for 4 hrs
Grind the urad dal till very smooth and fluffy.
Add the poha to the soaked rice 10 minutes before grinding and grind the rice .
Now mix the rice batter + urad dal batter + ragi powder +wheat flour + jowar flour + bajra flour + salt and very mix well.
Adjust water – the consistency should be of an idli batter.
Leave the batter overnight for 8 – 10 or hrs .[depending of weather ]
METHOD
The next day, the batter should be risen well.
Mix this batter well.
Grease idli plates with little oil and spoon the batter into each moulds.
Place this idli plates into steamer and steam for 10 mins.
Once it is steamed, remove it and let it cool for a bit.
Remove the idlis and serve with sambar, chutney, gunpowder.

NOTES
We need 2 cup of rice + 2 cup of flours + 1 cup of urad dal .You can take more or less of any flours .You can just make ragi idli by adding 2 cup ragi flour .
