PERFECT ROOMALI ROTI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – 2 cup
  • Baking pwdr – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste.
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Warm milk for kneading.

METHOD

Mix well maida + salt  + oil .

Knead this mixture into soft dough with milk.

Cover it with a damp cloth and allow it to rest for ½ hr or more.

Divide the dough into small balls.

Roll it into very thin chapati ,by dusting with little dry flour .

Heat a tawa or inverted kadai .

Place the thinly rolled chapatti on the tava .

You will see bubbles forming immediately .

Flip and roast on both the sides till small small light brown spots appear.

It hardly takes few seconds to cook .

Don’t burn it or over cook it they will become crispy.

Once done ,remove .slice itr into thin rolls .

Store it in a hot box or keep it covered with cloth .

Serve hot with any sabji or veg / non veg gravies.

NOTES

You can take a combo of wheat flour and less of maida.
