Stuffed bread coin
STUFFED BREAD COIN
INGREDIENTS
- Bread slices – few
- Mashed potato – 1 cup
- Finely chopped onion – 2 tbsp [optional]
- Red chilli pwdr – ½ tsp or as required
- Turmeric pwdr – a pinch
- Chaat masala pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Grated cheese – 1 tbsp [optional]
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Maida – ¼ cup mixed with ¼ cup water
- Salt to taste
- Butter to toast
PREPARATION
- Using a mould or cookie cutter or steel glass make circles from the bread as shown in the images .
- Make a mixture of mashed potato + onion + red chilli pwdr + turmeric + chaat masala + cheese + coriander leaves + salt .
- Make a paste of maida + water.
METHOD
Place a spoonful of potato mixture in the centre of the bread .spread it leaving little place in the edge .
Now apply little maida paste around the edges .
Place another bread on top ,gently press in the ends .
Apply butter on both the side and toast it till crisp and golden brown .[ don’t burn it ]
Serve hot with chutney + sauce .
VARIATION – I have also deep fried it ,it tasted yum .
NOTES
- You can also bake it .
- You can add masalas of your choice.
