sweet lassi recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • Thick fresh curd – 1cup [ not sour ]
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp or as per taste
  • Cardamom pwdr – a pinch [optional ]
  • Rose water – ½ tbsp. or rose essence – 1 drop [optional]
  • Ice cubes or chilled milk or chilled water – ¼ cup
  • Finely chopped pistas and few strands of saffron for garnish
  • Fresh cream or malai for topping

METHOD

Whip or blend or beat in the mixie ,  all the ingredients except pista ,malai and saffron till frothy . [ don’t blend too much or butter will form ]

Serve in a tall glass topped with malai and garnished with pista and saffron .

NOTES

  1. Use chilled curd.
  2. Quantity of water depends on the consistency you want.
  3. Prepare freshly when you serve it , instead of storing
  4. I don’t like adding cardamom or rose essence , I like the natural flavour.
  5. You can try lassi with fruits  like mango , strawberry , rose syrup [roohafza] , saffron .
  6. Why not try chocolate lassi by adding chocolate pieces or chocolate syrup or sauce.
