Mushroom tikka / tandoori
MUSHROOM TIKKA / TANDOORI RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- Mushroom – 1 packet ( 12 nos)
- Thick / hung curd – 1 tbsp.
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Chilly powder – 1 tsp or as per taste
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- chaat masal – 1/ 2tsp
- Turmeric pwdr – 1/4 tsp
- Kasoori methi pwdr – 1/2 tsp
- Bengal gram flour- 1 tsp for binding
- Tandoori colour a pinch ( optional )
- Salt as per taste.
- Capsicum – 1 diced [all 3 colours ]
- Onion – 1 diced
- Oil – 1 tsp for marinade
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Oil to fry mushroom – 1 or 2 tbsp
METHOD
Clean,chop the stalk half and soak the mushroom for sometime to loosen any soil particles .
Rub , wash and rinse the mushrooms thoroughly .
Wipe it .
Marinate the mushroom , onion and capsicum with all the ingredients for an hour or more.
Fry it on a non stick pan with oil as shown in the video . [ shallow fry or tava fry ]
Keep tossing or turning till the colour turns brown.
For tandoori effect roast over direct flame for few seconds as shown in the video .
Once done skewer it on the bamboo skewers. Arrange in order.
Drizzle few lemon drops and sprinkle little chaat masala.
Serve it hot with green chutney.
You can also make roll of it or serve as side dish or use it for any mushroom gravy like mushroom tikka masala or butter mushroom gravy or kadai mushroom etc .
NOTE
- You can add more veges like different types of capsicum, paneer , babycorn, tomato etc
- Same recipe goes for paneer .
- Instead of different masala powder you can just use tandoori masala pwdr.
- Besan is used for binding.
- You can also bake it in oven or directly on the stove.
- One more way to cook is – take a heavy bottom pan ,add 1 tbsp oil ,add the marinated mushrooms and mix well .Cover for a minute for the mushrooms to sweat .Open the lid and stir fry on high flame till all the water evaporates .
