EGGLESS TUTTI FRUTTI COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

  • ·     Maida – 1 cup
  • ·         Butter – 6 tbsp
  • ·         Icing sugar – ½ cup
  • ·         Tuitty fruity – ¼ cup
  • ·         Baking pwdr – ½ tsp
  • ·         Pineapple essence / mixed fruit essence /rose essence  – ½ tsp
  • ·         Vanilla custard pwdr – ¼ cup
  • ·         Milk 1 or 2 tsp
  • ·         Chopped cashew -2 tbsp
EGGLESS TUTTI FRUTTI COOKIES

METHOD

Sieve maida flour  + baking pwdr 2 times and keep aside.

Take butter + sugar + essence in a mixing bowl whisk  / beat it till light and fluffy .

Add flour mixture + tuitti fruiti + cashew and mix well .

Start kneading with clean hands .

If the mixture is dry ,you can add few tsp of milk and knead / if it is sticky add little flour and knead .

Roll the dough into cylindrical shape and wrap it with foil or cling or butter paper.

Refrigerate for ½ an hour .

Preheat the oven at 180* C for 10 mins .

Take the roll ,remove the wrap and cut thin cookies of ½ inch with a very sharp knife.

Arrange the cookies in baking tray leaving one inch space between each  .

Bake the cookies for  10 – 15 mins till done [  till the edges turn golden ] . Start checking after 10 mins .Check the bottom of the cookies to avoid from burning .

Don’t remove immediately let it rest in the oven for 2 mins .[ baking time depends on the thickness of the cookie .]

Start checking after 10 mins .

Remove and again allow it to cool for sometime .It will be soft when it is hot .it becomes crispy after cooling .

Once it is completely cooled ,store in airtight container .

NOTES

1.   Instead of essence we can add orange zest .

2.      U can try using a combination of ¾ cup maida + ¼  cup custard pwdr .

3.      If dough is sticky add flour .

4.      Instead of tutti frutti  , u can used chopped dry fruits .
