Dry aloo matar ki sabji

                                                                           ALOO MATAR KI SABJI

INGREDIENTS

  • Potato – 2
  • Fresh green peas – ½ cup
  • Onion – 1 big
  • Tomato – 1 small
  • Green chilli -1 chopped
  • Turmeric pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Chilli pwdr – ½ tsp or as per taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Water – ¼ cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • Sugar – ½ tsp optional
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish

PREPARATION

  1. Cook the potato till soft , peel and chop it into small cubes.
  2. Cook the green peas till soft.

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan and add jeera, allow it to crackle.

Add onion and fry till translucent.

Add tomatoes and fry till oil separates .

Add turmeric pwdr + chilli pwdr and mix well.

Fry till raw smell leaves .

Add water + salt + sugar and mix well .

Add the cooked potatoes + peas and mix well.

Cover and Simmer on low flame for 1 minute.

Off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

This sabji should have some moisture,it should not be very dry.

Serve as side dish

NOTES

Instead of tomatoes you can add amchur pwdr .

Final you can also add kasoori methi pwdr or chaat masala.

you can also add coriander pwdr ,garam masala pwdr
