Fish burji
FISH BURJI
INGREDIENTS
- Fried Fish – 250 gms
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Onion finely chopped – 1
- Tomato finely chopped – 1
- Green chilli chopped – 1
- Curry leaves -few
- Chilli pwdr – 1 tsp or as per taste
- Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- pav bhaji masala – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice to drizzle [optional ]
- Chaat masala
- Finely chopped coriander
PREPARATION
- Clean ,wash and rinse the fish.
- Make a mixture of 1 tsp ginger garlic paste + 1 tsp chilli pwdr + little turmeric pwdr + little garam masala + salt + lemon juice.
- Apply this mixture all over the fish and marinate for sometime .
- Shallow fry it on both sides on medium flame till it is cooked .[5 mins on each side ]
- Allow it cool, remove the skin and bones, shred the boneless flesh into small pieces.
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan ,add the onions + curry leaves and fry till translucent.
Add tomatoes and fry till soft and oil separates.
Add chilli pwdr + coriander pwdr + turmeric + garam masala pwdr + salt +pav bhaji masala , mix well and fry for sometime.
Add the shredded fish and mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves .
Serve hot .
Sprinkle little chaat masala while serving .
NOTES
- I have used surmai ,you can use flesh of any fried fish.
- Actually I used leftover fried fish.
- Adjust masala as per your taste.
