FISH BURJI

INGREDIENTS

  • Fried Fish – 250 gms
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Onion finely chopped – 1
  • Tomato finely chopped – 1
  • Green chilli chopped – 1
  • Curry leaves -few
  • Chilli pwdr – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • pav bhaji masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice to drizzle [optional ]
  • Chaat masala
  • Finely chopped coriander

PREPARATION

  1. Clean ,wash and rinse the fish.
  2. Make a mixture of 1 tsp ginger garlic paste + 1 tsp chilli pwdr + little turmeric pwdr + little garam masala + salt + lemon juice.
  3. Apply this mixture all over the fish and marinate for sometime .
  4. Shallow fry it on both sides on medium flame till it is cooked .[5 mins on each side ]
  5. Allow it cool, remove the skin and bones, shred the boneless flesh into small pieces.

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan ,add the onions + curry leaves and fry till translucent.

Add tomatoes and fry till soft and oil separates.

Add chilli pwdr + coriander pwdr + turmeric + garam masala pwdr + salt +pav bhaji masala , mix well and fry for sometime.

Add the shredded fish and mix well.

Garnish with coriander leaves .

Serve hot .

Sprinkle little chaat masala while serving .

NOTES

  1. I have used surmai ,you can use flesh of any fried fish.
  2. Actually I used leftover fried fish.
  3. Adjust masala as per your taste.
