KFC chicken recipe
KFC CHICKEN FRY/CRISPY CHICKEN FRY RECIPE
MARINATION INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken pieces of your choice – 500gms of drumctick /wings/boneless/strips. [I have used strips]
- Butter milk – 2 cup.
- Ginger – garlic paste /powder-1 tsp.
- Salt.
- Pepper pwdr – 1tsp.
- Mixed herbs – 1tsp.
- Chilly pwdr – 1tsp.
Mix all the above ingredients except the chicken.
Marinate the chicken in this mixture for minimum 6 hours –overnight in the fridge.
DRY COATING INGREDIENT:
- Maida – 1 1/2cup.
- Cornflour – 1/2 cup.
- Cornflakes – 1/2 cup.
- Baking pwdr – 1/4 tsp.
- Chilli pwdr – 1 tsp.
- Pepper pwdr – 1/2 tsp.
- Ginger-garlic paste/pwdr – 1 tsp.
EGG WASH INGREDIENTS:- Whisk the egg well with the other given ingredients.
- Egg-1
- Chilli sauce – 1tsp.
- Milk – 1/2cup
- Salt.
METHOD
Remove the chicken from the marination .Squeeze the extra marinade and pat dry it.
Heat the oil on low medium flame.
Dip the chicken in egg mixture.
Roll it in the coating mixture.
Once again dip in the egg mixture and again roll in the coating mixture.
Keep it in fridge for sometime.
Deep fry by turning it.
Fry it till the chicken turns golden brown .
Remove and keep it on absorbent paper.
Serve hot with dip of your choice.
TIPS :
- Chicken has to be marinated for minimum 6 hrs as the chicken becomes tender,moist and cooks fast.
- If you are taking big pieces with bones then it has to be fried for 15 mins on medium flame.
- I took strips so it was done fast.
- Don’t overcrowd while frying.
